Presenter: Danny Watson, Advanced Biomedical Computational Science.

During this interactive session, we’ll stick to the technical basics and talk about how developers of all skill levels can use Git to improve their workflows, even if they already use Git. We’ll cover topics like: crafting simple but effective commit messages, identifying suitable units of work, avoiding merge conflicts, maintaining context in your Git history and more. Let’s learn from each other and have some fun!

Prerequisites: A basic understanding of what Git is, and why we use it.

This will be a hybrid event. Webex link and details can be found in the e-mail sent to you upon registration. This session will be recorded, and materials will be shared with attendees a few days after the event.
